Dreaming
Tired, I am waiting
Sleepless, I am waiting
To escape the day's worries and troubles, to leave it all behind
Even if just for a little while
Don't mistake me for loveless
For in my dreams, I am hopeless
I fall for you over and over again
More so when I'm in your arms
As I slip from reality to unconsciousness
You hold me and kiss me to sleep
Your warmth, your steady heartbeat
Lull me to a peaceful state
With you, I am protected, safe
Just to stare into your eyes
Losing myself in every color, all your wonders
You sing to me the beauty of love, with all it's highs and lows
Softly you whisper words so sweet and through the fog of sleep, I smile
To imprison yourself in True Love's grasp so young, yet so willing,
Why?
What have I done to deserve such devotion, complete adoration?
Then I look up into your eyes and as you smile and kiss me,
The answer is so simple, how could I not see?
You love me.
