The Shadow Proves the Sunshine

The evil on you souls may dine,
And eat your courage away,
But the shadow proves the sunshine,
The night surrenders to day.
In trial and terror
When suicides are time,
When religion is shown error,
The shadow proves the sunshine!
Shadow’s just a lack of light,
An absence clear as day.
Though the sun cuts through the night,
It keeps the night at bay.
In your darkest hour,
Keep this close to heart,
The shadow proves the sunshine,
This knowledge, I impart.
