Midnight monster that I dread
Creeping up into my head
Pulling, pulling me down under
As I fight a restless slumber

Wearier than any be
From running from my memories
I try to push, push you away
So I can see another day

But being happy has a price
And still, I haven't got it right
So there you'll be, beside my bed
Midnight monster in my head
