One Evening
One evening, in a forest filled with shadows
Two gleams of light met at a point on the ground
And although these gleams of light came from the same sun
They strived for that place, for a dazzling crown

They were intertwined together these two beams of light
One striving to overpower the other
The patient light, smart, and sought advice from the night
The boastful one quick, and in time, never discovered

And then with a pause, a gentle small thought
Both beams of light decided to shine
They shined so brightly and gave light to the dark
But the brilliance they had lead to demise

 They destroyed each other
 As brilliance often does
 When it meets its match
Like Light shining in the woods
