Dear 301
I feel you here
Your voice the sharpest
Sound I’ve ever heard
A crystalline explorer
Though I have few regrets,
I will always fell you here.
Here on this bench
In the pit in my chest
Where a thumping metronome
Warns me I’m out of time
Here where the jolt
I haven’t felt in a while
Pierces my chest
And stops my tracks
Here where a criminal crimson
Surrounds my face
And my cheeks blare the alarm…
I feel you in this place
And it makes my toes tingle
Adrenaline
Rush and head pound
Invoking the futility you bring out in me
That futility I most regret in our kiss.
