A Heart Forgotton
Every promise broken,
 Lying shattered on the floor.
All I could do was watch,
As you walked out the door.

 What have I done?
 Please tell me.
 Come back home,
 And help me see.

 I miss you.
 More than every drop
 Of tears falling,
 That you just watched.

 You were my everything.
 My knight in shining armor.
A wave of emotions hit me,
But your memory will n’er falter.

 When you ran your fingers
 Through my hair.
 And when you’d walk by,
All I could do was stare.

 I miss your kind words
 Your soft touch.
 The butterflies you gave me,
 I miss you so much.

 So I’ll be right here,
If you ever change your mind.
 In the same place,
 Where you left me behind.
