Your grip is so tight
on that mirror you hold.
Always looking back
on the people you let go.
Standing there looking
at yourself and your past,
finding the flaws
that make you the last.
Wondering what would've happened,
what could've been,
and now will never come to be, blaming yourself
for all that is lost
and will never be seen.
Let the mirror go.
Let it fall from your grasp,
and embrace the world,
free at last.
