A Broken Record
My hearts a metal core I lock, so no one can get in
Why would I risk being hurt for a glimpse of sunshine?
People leave bruises on my skin and wounds in my brain
And every word is engraved into my eyes
It's like a broken record skipping, and replaying the same part
Once its broken, it can never be fixed
It plays the same beat for everything, like a numb heart
You can either store it in the dusty attic, hiding it away, while it muffles the same beat
Or you can snap it, and hope it doesnt breathe
