Heart Broken
Love comes unexpected
Everything feels so wonderful
He feels completed
She feels hopeful
Engulfed with happiness
A smile comes out naturally
It’s all full of silliness
Trapped in a world of ecstasy
Every beginning feels so precious
Then things start to change,
Behaviors become suspicious.
Now it’s a new stage
A memory becomes painful,
Everything is hurting
All of those beautiful movements now wasteful.
Their hearts left aching.
Putting on their best smiles,
That shows nothing is wrong.
Their heart’s recovery isn’t for miles.
They weren’t strong
Only time will heal them.
For now, all they can do is cry.
Walking away to separate roads they seem.
It’s hard not to cry.
A song they shared,
They can no longer hear it.
The feelings that they cared,
For one another has taken a hit
And that’s hard to fix
Love is harsh.
