Just a Statement
You see me for who you want me to be,
Not for who I am.
You see me as perfectly put together,
Carefree, like I have it all figured out.
But truthfully,
You don't get it,
You don't know,
Sometimes I can't figure it out myself.
I don't hold you accountable,
I don't look at you with scorn,
I look at you silently pleading for help.
For someone to listen and genuinely care is all I could ever ask for.
I put on a smile everyday,
I cheerfully laugh whenever I can,
But on the inside,
Everything feels like it is crashing and burning to the ground.
All I ask of you is to look passed that,
Find me.
Whether she's happy, crying, questioning, or straight out confused.
Accept her at every moment of everyday,
Not just when you like what you see.
