Spent
exchanging thrusts
in a baron of inexplainable lust
her toes bent tight
fingernails, they grip
dancing in the moonlight
a turning, a yearning
the carnal flame,
forever burning
shutting love's door
throwing her
onto the floor
sought to subvert
the two of us
suckle our hurt
yet still the child in my eyes
could never just quite
see through her cries
they say love never dies
but how is that wise
when most of us are bent
living a life
eternally spent
