Still in the cold
When I drink my tea it's ignored
by yours eyes
so it burns me
but I don't feel it because I'm cold
I cover myself
in the warm blankets of my mothers empty bed
but it never protects me from your cold touch
I bundle up in scarfs and mittens
but I'm still vulnerable to the snow
I listen to "ignorance is bliss"
but I'm still frozen by things I don't know
I've noticed that I am sweating
but I do not feel the heat
my eyes are bleeding icicles from the things you've said to me
Is it that surprising that I wouldn't want to be in anyone's zone?
that I'd RATHER be by ,myself
outside
in the cold
