Dress Up
Jamie had a soft voice
Flowery and oh so very sweet
The men would listen all day if given a choice
Her quirky laughter and gentle lines a treat

Fine gold hair made her crown
 Framing curtly her flushed face
 Bright amber eyes that drown
Head held high with poise and grace

 She wore a fitted dress
 Of innocent blue plaid
Her skip like step not to impress
 Except for the occasional lad

Once home she lost her flair
She folded away the façade of Jamie
Stripped off her dress and hair
And once again became James Lee.
