Her Hopes
The pressure got to her, it wasn’t alcohol he swore.
He’d lied before and thrown her through the door.
Her little body could have been shattered,
Too bad to him she never even mattered.
He’d sweet talk her when he was sober,
There was no way she could ever say “It’s over”.
One day he’d pushed way past her limit.
There was no way he’d ever win it.
She broke up with him, hoping it would end.
But he became obsessed; stalking her was how he’d spend
His time every day and every night
But he’d make sure to stay out of sight.
Things went to every extreme,
The way thing were before is what she dreamed.
Hope was all she ever had
And now that little girl is sad.
