Life goes on
Times are fading as my ripped jeans turn to threads
And I've been waiting for that call that never came
Ending what I had with you, I never thought would be so hard
But life goes on and I'll find someway to survive
I've got a job, I've got a new man, yet I see, he'll never quite be, the man you were to me
I wish I could erase the memories we shared
All the times you laughed and you kissed me
Walking across the beach, hand in hand, now seems as if it was all a dream
A dream that I wish could never fade away, yet seems to already be disappearing at the seams
My mind is spinning just to think how...
how you could leave me, how you could steal away what was special to me
You said we'd be together forever and that you'd never hurt me, yet the last bit of thread holding us together is now snapped
And now we're just done
