Rainforest
The stars glimmered in the eyes of a dreamer
Who tumbled around and through the warm summer air
She could never be taken from her kingdom in the trees
And we all knew that if we looked hard enough, she would take us there

She didn’t believe in glitter much
And laughed at people who bathed in the sun
The stones were her pathway to the forest and she ran through those trees, without a care
And we all knew that if we looked hard enough, she would take us there

The shadows were her protection from the thunder
And when it rained her cries to the clouds were the only sound heard
Her home in the trees is gone, and the life you took from her was not fair
And we all knew that if we looked hard enough, she would take us there
