trampling feet
injured pride
scraped knees

such a dangerous sport
yet
it's such a rush

heart pounding
pulse racing
salt stinging your eyes
muscles aching

did you know
people are watching

steal the ball
lose the ball
insults hurled
praises rewarded

bodies collide
an elbow to the gut
asprained ankle
oops...
I think you got hurt

game over
next player please
