Fish that cannot swim

I am a fish that wouldn’t swim
I am a bird that wouldn’t fly
I am a person not in love,
And I am a person unloving or unloved.
I struggle to move underwater, my
Wings desperately flapping, my
Gills breathing, my body gliding.
I search for love, but do not return it when I receive it.
I am a fish that cannot swim,
I am a bird that cannot fly,
And I am a person that cannot love.
