and would never ever leave
you gave me your word
told me to wait
said
please be patient
I'm coming my sweet
but you lied
you lied to me and I fell for it
like some stupid little fool

You made a promise to me
you said you'd keep it
but you lied
and so I'm left
waiting here alone
for you to keep a promise
you never truly meant
to keep
