Come, Break my Chains
In a castle made of bone,
Lies a heart so alone.
Protected from harm by castle walls
It waits for another's call.
On the heart lies a clock.
On the castle lies a lock.
Each beat counts closer to the end.
For another a message sends.
When will it come?
The freedom from the cage?
When it will come?
The calm from the storm's rage?
The storm of loneliness rushes through me.
I am trapped in a cage, unable to flee.
Beneath the wave I sink alone
My cries unheard through walls of stone.
Waiting for the rescue.
Hoping I'm not waiting in vain.
Waiting for the rescue.
Come, break my chains.
