Journey of Life
I walk barefoot
Through my path of destiny
Which has no definite beginning
Or no definite end
There with me travel
a thousand different people
all travelers in the trail of time
Some people look at me,
I fail to notice them,
Some I turn to look at
But never see enough
Half way through
Comes the fork of fate,
The ending of the earth but
The beginning of the sky,
The point where your dreams fly
To form the stars that shine
Most of my mates
Rush the way they were worthy of,
While the others try
To plan the planned,
A few sat down in defeat
Unable to decide,
While some like me
Wander dreamily
Through the open arms of faith
I pass a menacing forest,
Then dull yellow plains
I dance in the starlight
And sing to the moon
I run along the river
And reach the splendid sea
I skip when I am pleased
And run when I am sad,
I look at every little thing
That crosses or I cross
I fill my peaceful mind
With the glory of life,
Wondering very slightly
When my journey’s end would come
