Oh, Fate.
Oh, Fate. How you deprive me of her warmth.
How my heart is worn from wading through this storm.
How my tongue aches to speak these growing phrases.
How my eyes burn from the darkness; never changing.
Where has the light gone
and will it return to my lapsing soul?
I'm holding on, but I'm not that strong.
I fear I will lose my hold.
But I mustn't!
I must trod,
through the bitter wind and cold conversations,
Because her voice, when sincere, gifts me with such elations.
I may pass,
never knowing her savor again.
But I will never relent, nor recant,
that would be such betrayal.
I will never commit such a sin.
