Sometimes,
on warm summer nights
I catch
the smell of your cologne
wafting over my pillow
reminding me
of the day you left,
my brewed coffee in hand,
not looking back
to say goodbye
with your hazel eyes
so much for happily
ever afters
well, the after's here
I'm here, waiting
your favorite cologne in hand
so I never forget you
on those warm
summer nights you loved
