She's About Average
She’s a normal thirteen year old
Unless you’re talking about her hair
The hair that is so blond it’s almost white
That hair people pay go money to try to get
That hair that I use to envy so much, and even though I hate to admit it I still kind of do
Then again she sometimes wants to change her hair, being all insecure
I mean after all she is thirteen
She’s a normal thirteen year old
Until you look into those eyes
Those big green eyes
The eyes that if you look into them too long you just might get lost like you’re in some jungle
Of course if you look long enough you might see in those eyes that she’s a little lost too, or she may just roll them at you
I mean after all she is thirteen
She’s a normal thirteen year old
Unless you start talking to her
The way her voice is so smooth and crystal like water in a stream
You hear talk about things that you wouldn’t think a thirteen year old would
Stuff about how families can be torn apart, how to deal with pain
Then again she might also blabber on about all her friends and all the drama with all the boys
I mean after all she is thirteen
I guess she can be called a normal thirteen year old
But if you have more time I can tell you all that things that make her more than that
I am proud of her you know
I mean after all she is my niece
