Favorite Quote:
When you compare the sorrows of real life to the pleasures of the imaginary one, you will never want to live again, only to dream forever.

Our backs were bent ‘til we were walking
on the knuckles of our souls
The trees were drinking angels’ tears
in the deserts where they grow
And the only time my heart was shaken
was when I threw it to the wind
I found the things the world has disproven
were the only ones worth believing in.

So the cynic learned to trust,
The atheist’s divine doubts were slain
The shackles of distrust forever left in the dust
And I was born again.

The author's comments:
A cynic by nature, I was once shackled by my distrust of nearly everyone in my life. I tried to go into high school with an open mind and the willingness to give trust a try, and well, I emerged born again. A born-again cynic, a born-again atheist. I was free.
