The kings sit upon their thrones,
hands full of sticks and stones
Casting judgment on the children
until they grow toughness in their bones.

And while the darkness conceals demons
Your light illuminates my heart
I still find you when I’m dreaming,
So we'll never be apart
You and I, together
Like a lovely work of art.

The author's comments:
Everyone has demons in the form of judgment. Bullies sit on their "thrones" like they rule the world, but their empty insults and slurs do nothing but strengthen their victims. The trick to attaining this strength is finding someone who encourages you to reach for it!
