For a brief interlude
Of time
I had forgotten
The cross I had to bear
The actions unspoken
And
I wanted to forget
Today as well
.
Come today
To a place where handprints
Fade away to sand
Play today
Win or lose
I promise the consequences
Will be allayed
See today
The truth
That nothing really ever stays
Know tomorrow,
You’ll be amazed
How dearly our time flies spiritedly away
Fly free, straightaway
Leave this person I am today
