Love is Greater, than the Pressure to be Perfect.
What People Say ; Doesn't Define Who I Am.
I I'm A Boomerang, Doesn't Matter How You Throw Me, Turn Around And I'm Back In The Game, Even Better Then The Old Me

In the midst of a sea of beautiful things
You were like a sore thumb that stuck out
Everyone overlooked your talents
And things you could do
In hope that you would give out
But you never stopped trying to fit in
Even though it seemed it would never be
Always striving to succeed
In things that others said
Was meant for beauty
They all called you the ugly duckling
Never to become a swan
And the things that really mattered
They never congratulated you on
Now they are trying to see you
To apologize and plead
For forgiveness, and mercy
And give an explanation for their deeds
They didn’t understand
And still don’t know
How you, that ugly duckling
Grew up to be a swan

I love this poem! It really relates to how messed up society can get. I LOVE how you ended it, about the swan. I really get what your meaning is about people always trying to fit in. Check out some of my poetry please:)
