Katie Hearts Joe
It is always a good story
The story of how we met
I love telling people
Another thing you should know is
My favorite part was the beginning
Even though I barely knew you
I knew this would turn into something and
Last a long time
Which we did
I felt like I could see the future
(This just proves my point)
So when we started to date
I was so nervous
Of falling for you
You would be leaving in one year so I was afraid
I would get to attached
I was only an eleventh grader but I knew
What would happen if we got serious?
Annoying was the word I used for girls who got clingy
I hoped that would not describe me
Clingy is a word that did not describe you
You were perfect and
Flawless
I only felt like that when you told me I was
This is how it started
You were sitting at a desk and
I came up to you, asking some math question, while
You were just as confused
You just had that look on your face and
You acted like you understood even though
We both knew you did not
Two days after I asked you for help and you told me you knew the answer even though you did not,
You asked me for my number
The middle is not as fun to tell
It is not that great of a story
That is why I like the beginning and not the middle
We rushed it
You said we would last forever but
Then again, nothing lasts forever
Even stars burn out eventually
Twenty months
That is exactly
One year and eight months
This is how long I got to call you my boyfriend
People used to ask how long we went out,
I would just answer them
No one really asked why we broke up; when they did
It was not so bad
Our breakup is an entire different story
It was not that bad because I learned things about you that I did not know before
You had the ability to be mean and say hurtful things
This just started when we were in the process of breaking up
We both knew this was coming and then
When it did
I wished it did not
That is how our story goes
It is nice to tell it because
For the most part
It was a good memory
I hate that it had to end but it did
You are in college now
In some university far away
I am still in high school while
You left just like you left me
Read back up to get another side of the story
