One in a Million
“It’s a one in a million
chance, so just don’t bother”
They say.
They; the invisible
lurking in my mind’s corners,
echoing my enemies
They punch and pummel my
bright ideas, eager thoughts, ripening dreams.
Take my skyscrapers and
chop them to ordinary heights.
So if I fall, I won’t be as far
from the ground.
“You are one in a million
take a chance”
I say.
I; the creator,
dreamer,
seer,
believer,
smarter and stronger
than They; the invisible.
Building my
bright ideas, eager thoughts, ripening dreams
so tall that I can
touch the clouds and
steal a ray of sun;
a spotlight for one in a million.
