Focaccia MAG
Gluey, off-white strands
 are twisted
 to form a blemished circle
 for
 they never turn out perfect
dough the color of a sidewalk
 cannot expect to have
 much potential
 but it does
 a hazy mist of flour
 swirls around the sticky mass
like snow on a dried-up field
 I pound the dough roughly,
 my way of anger management
 and easier-cooked bread
 I have been a Maker, a Creator,
even if it was only of bread
 I have shaped the outcome
 of a pile of yeast,
 my family's dinner,
 a bit of happiness
 Gluten never tasted so good
