My most inner wounds
my loneliness
were nourished by you
Like sweet milk
You poured in
Prowled in
In the mentality of the predator
In the roll of the prey
Enough
to eat away the decaying tissue
Enough
sweetness to bring you back
Just enough
to give the strength back
to my beaten and brittle bones
You crawled away
Drunk off your own success
And with my head held low
but my pride still intact
I licked my wounds
and watched you go

This poem is about manipulating someone into manipulating you. Letting them feel that they are in charge so you can get the instant gratification. It makes you think along the way, who's truly in charge here?
