Girl in the Mirror
Who is this girl in the mirror,
 Staring back at me?
 Did nobody ever tell her
 that staring is rude?
Who is this girl in the mirror,
 with cold, dark eyes?
 Betraying nothing.
She isn’t the one I used to see,
I’m more used to the old girl,
 with her melting chocolate eyes
 and an ever ready smile.
 Where is she now?
Who is this girl in the mirror,
 whose very words make me
 want to cringe?
 Where is the girl,
whose laugh reminded me of summer
 and all good things?
 And whose words
 made me feel at home?
Who is this girl in the mirror,
 who can’t stop criticizing?
 Somebody tell her to stop,
Cause I can’t bear her anymore
 Where is the girl,
 I once used to be?
 And who,
Is this girl in the mirror?
