I'm Ready
Am I allowed to be angry?
To hurt things?
Punch things?
Throw a fit?
Am I allowed to raise my voice?
To yell at you?
Insult you?
Tell you how I feel?
Am I allowed to not be perfect?
To distort my face?
Show emotion?
Cut myself to stop the pain?
Well, I’m telling you now
That I am angry.
I am angry and ready to show myself.
I am angry and want people to care.
Don’t you care?
I’m not perfect.
I have a heart.
I have feelings,
And I’m ready to show you how you made me feel.
I’m ready to yell,
To scream,
To hit,
Until I cry
And you hold me.
I’m ready to be angry
Until you tell me that you’re sorry,
Until you tell me that you love me,
Until I forget what happened
And move on.
I’m ready to be angry
Until you show me that you care.
