I came out of the shadows
As a person I'd much rather be
And I understand, some can't see
But that's because they're shallow

It's only obvious that I rose above
I don't stoop to such low levels
Not as low as some teen devils
I stand with people they can only talk of

I'm glad I finally realized
Bitter people are weak
Fallen from grace 'cuz they reached their peak
Hoping that from cruelty they'll be idealized

Step away from the madness
Take a look around
Stop looking at the ground
And you'll see you made a mess

Only then will you know
How to help those you hurt
The ones left in the dirt
They can follow you, out of the shadows
