"A man reserves his true and deepest love not for the species of woman in whose company he finds himself electrified and enkindled, but for that one in whose company he may feel tenderly drowsy."
-George Jean Nathan

Breathing in my freedom
And I'm gone for just a little while
Then the present pulls me back
And my wings are forced shut
Like a door closing
It hurts worse than a knife through the heart
My hopes, my dreams, they're all locked back up
The loss of freedom is harsh a reality to believe
I'm ready to fly, go somewhere brand new
Onto a newer horizon
If only they could see that
If only they knew...

It's a poem about wanting to get freedom and how far away it seems sometimes.
