We're Lost
Because now music is not an obsession
And flowers have been black and white
And the sky is a glowing grey that threatens to suffocate me.
Because now my feet mix with cement as I walk
And the alarm clock contradicts itself
And the bed sheets give off a cool warmth that doesn't want me.
Because now my family is quiet
And my baby cousin's laugh sounds distant
And my favorite book refuses to be reread.
But if you're somewhere out there, why are you taking so long?
And if you're looking for me, did you look hard enough?
Where are you?
I know you're out there somewhere. Just find me.
