Falling
Running through the woods trying to catch my breath,
the leaves making is hard to move,
every step is so loud,
my head is spinning,
my heart is pumping,
my knees are jello,
until I see you,
Lookin all around trying to find
what love was left behind.
Theres the heart
carved into the tree,
the trees sap colored blood surrounding it,
love killed this tree,
love killed you and me,
again why I see you flash before my eyes,
I realize I'm falling.
It's all moving so slow,
I feel the crumbs of fall leaves in my hands,
I fell that day,
I'm still falling now.
