i’ve always
feared
the Vanishing road-
hidden amid the
Sometimes trees
ten Feet HIGH

my headlights
are casting
yellow shadows
over the fine grey
Mist-

the Road wavers
like an illusion-of-a-river
and nature is
Silent
in reverence.

the atmosphere
deflates
and
a glass of Grey clouds
spill into the sky.

in the distance
a STOP sign appears
so brazenly
vibrant
amongst the silent grey
world
