Haunted
I am haunted by memories
The mall, the streets
This town
Is a graveyard
Where I visit the sites of dead friendships,
Passed loves
All haunting
Because even good memories
Frozen into ghosts of time
Become bad
So sad.
I must leave this behind
All beautiful flowers die
I don't want to be reminded
Of everything I've lost
Faded laughter
Whispered chatter
Awkward glances
Kind last chances
Secret touching
Talking about nothing
Every single inch of this place holds a memory
Holds a story
Has a past
I can visit
Yet never return
I can never go back
I don't want to be here anymore.
