Rejection
The desert traveler ran towards water,
And it moved away,
The son searched his father’s eyes for acceptance,
But they moved away,
The girl ran after the bus,
And it kept moving away,
The puppy lost her family,
Because they moved away,
The wife longed for love in her husband’s eyes,
But they wandered away,
I reached out to touch you,
And you moved away.
Jilting and rejection,
Hurting and neglect,
First spasms the soul,
Then empties the lungs,
Fills the eyes,
But one doesn’t cry, yet,
And hardens the mind,
You just want to die,
But don’t even try.
Horrid, horrid fate
Suffer Echo and I with grace.
