Staring out at the glossy green
Above the shimmering sun is showering a golden glow
I feel the peace
I feel the height
I know the love
I know the light
The wind is whispering through my hair
As the words treasure me with care
The crisp pages battered book
Keep me gazing in this look
In my head I see the plot
With my eyes I see the lot
My mind sees the sorrow
I see the morrow
And will continue to see
As I stare at the green
