A Promise Broken
As I’m walking out your door
I could feel your heart slowly turning into stone.
I couldn’t help but look at you for one last time
When I did all I could see is you turning your back at me.
I have hurt you too many times
You forgave me for every mistake I made like it was nothing
You never hurt me back
No revenge or bad feelings towards me
You kept on loving me the way that the right boy loves the right girl
I’m starting to believe that you really do love me but I have issues that I could never get over
So in the end your love was not enough even though it’s too much
That day when you turned your back on me
My heart skipped a beat
And I could feel the tears falling from my eyes
You never ever break your promises
But that day you did
You let go of me and you never looked back.
