I didn't give up, I gave in
For this was it, I remembered
This was my incipient
I smelled the fragrance before, the air
Felt it drive me closer and closer, swiftly
It hurried me to its crashing sounds of the angry water, the wind unrolled off its ripple
Whispering, through my hair
Felt it take over a single part of me, a single sum of all that I was
It enriched my lungs, furiously with its cold
The murmuring, seducing brisk of air
I felt this pain before, the waves tugging at me
Swallowing me, taking me under
It called my name; it called me with every pain, every kiss, and every doubt
Singed my name with its surreptitious whisper
One pull, throwing my body carelessly under its wrath
I felt this relief before, felt my lungs expand, felt them tie, my fingers clawed at nothing
Eventually falling to my side
The ocean conflated me with its hunger
Felt the murmurous cry, and felt in that moment my mind leave me
For I was relieved
I hung there in the mist of all my sorrow, I invited its depth
Invited its pain
I felt my blood shake with my body, felt the cold send quivers throughout my broken body
It curled my toes, twisted my spine, and finally grasped my last breath of me
For I didn't fight, nor did I give up
I simply gave in
