Sometimes, it gets hard
The weight of the world becomes too much for my shoulders
And in times like those, who do I have?
I’d like, more than I can express, to be able to say you.
But I don’t want to scare you.
Or to say that I’ll get past this—
Life is short! Time flies! Nothing lasts forever!—
I can’t.
You’re gone. I’m still here.
Still think nothing’s forever?
I don’t.
I’d like to get past you.
Over you, whatever.
But you’re still firmly on my mind
You’re the love I never had,
My knight when it gets bad
You’re more than just a fad,
You’re the only one who’s never made me sad....
