Ocean Story
In a fishing village by the sea
A son sat on his father’s knee
And asked him for a story
Not one with knights and glory
Or with dragons in the sky
But one that will answer why
Why the ocean is always blue
And fish act the way they do
Why does the tide come and go
Teach me all the things you know
So the father said to his son
 It’s God’s idea of a little fun
Fun for the many and the few
And his favorite color is blue
So he paints with it the sky
The fish are just a little shy
And the tide comes and goes
 When the great whale blows
 The ocean water out again
This story is passed on by kin
As now I give it on to you
May you believe it to be true
