Fly Away

I want to fly
reach the sky
the clouds are my friends
but is it out of reach
are my dreams still too far away
maybe I should keep my feet on the ground
it seems more realistic
but equally impossible
my path is littered with battles
I can never have an easy way
it's nonexistent
I could live on a cloud
or
create the world I want to live in
both a childish day dream
the real world
is blood sweat and tears
not smile laughter and joy
I wish it was
but it will never be
no matter my path
the future is bleak
