The Beautiful Game
The heart starts pumping
Your feet are thumping
To the rhythm of the game
You can never be tamed
Another girl you get past
And you hope the moment lasts
As the ball soars in the net
Game’s tied, you could still win yet
Your feet move faster still
You can score, you make the kill
You pass the ball and hope she’ll score
The ball goes in but you still want more
But then, goal. They scored again
That can’t happen you have to win
With thirty seconds ‘til the end
You give the cross,
The ball has a bend.
Goal! You win, and they have a loss.
That all happened because of your cross
This is the beautiful game, anything could happen
The game is never over, until the final whistle blows
