I Long To Be
I long to be at a beach
A place where the swells and ocean breeze,
Keeps me company while I watch the sunrise
Where the gulls laugh and the mermaids play

I long to be in the mountains
 The quiet fog settling down,
On a lush forest where the quiet creatures whisper
The air is cold, the snow glittering white

I long to be at home
The family sits in front of the tube
Watching a movie, the dog on the floor
A place where harmless quarrels cannot reach

I long to be up there
In the night time sky dancing on the stars
The deep shades of blue, black, and red will be my blanket
And the moon will be my bed

I long to be in a bubble
 I could watch the cityscape,
 Behind the sheen of soap
 Floating so lazily and carefree

I long to be far away
A place where no one can hear me
Where I could shout and scream with no one to judge
Far from this world of trouble and despair
