See My Point?
Left behind in lockers
Or left on the ground
I’ve gone from wooden to mechanical
But that’s not all that I’ve found.
Whatever happened with writing in cursive though?
Is it practiced anymore?
I’ve heard a teacher complain about it
Where is this generation going?
I’ve found that many cannot spell
With handwriting like that
How are you academically doing well?
I know only one who takes to practicing
Creating poetry as they write
They find it better to write in cursive
Though their grasp is tight
I'd pat them on the shoulder
But I’m only used for writing
An occasional back scratch too
That is worth not hiding
As this young writer grows
I have seem to shed some weight
With all poems they’ve written with me though
One of them might score them a date
